Scientific Rationale

We will bring together scientists belonging to the CANDELS and HERSCHEL deep surveys collaborations (that partly overlap) working on star formation in the early Universe.

We will discuss star formation all the way from z~2 to z~8 with different approaches, including LBGs and dusty galaxies selected and observed in different ways. Other related topic will be AGN and the role they played in quenching star formation at different redshifts and the stellar population of their host galaxies.

We estimate that there will be about 40 participants to the workshop.

The workshop will be hosted at the Sport & Kurhotel in Bad Moos. You can make a reservation at this hotel, where discounted (20%) rates are available for participants (please add a comment specifying that you will attend the workshop):
