This workshop is mostly aimed at the italian scientific community which is active in large surveys for studies of cosmology and large scale structure in the Universe. In preparation of the ESA mission Euclid currently in phase A, while building the support for Wide Field X-ray Telescope mission concept, this meeting will provide the opportunity to coagulate a wide range of efforts into future multi-wavelength wide-field surveys.

The event will also host a meeting of the WFXT International Team to discuss the status of the project.
